To keep the momentum going we need your help on Orange Hat Day - Thursday March 16th.
Our first rally resulted in significant progress:
*$ 27,000 raised at the rally was matched by RIM program to invest $54,000 in Lake Maria. *$10 million secured in a bonding bill for acquisition of new Wildlife Management Areas, *Secured the second phase of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program, the Shooting Range Protection Act and other legislation.
This year the Rally’s goal is dedicated funding for conservation programs. Anglers, hunters, conservationists and all Minnesotans concerned about our Outdoors Legacy must keep the momentum going for this important conservation initiative. Here’s how!
Orange Hat Day, starts with orientation at 9:00, then at noon we meet on the capitol steps to hear from key legislative leaders. See www.wetlandsrally.org for more details, a flyer and parking and directions.
Also on Orange Hat Day you can watch and hear as the House Tax committee discusses dedicated funding for conservation programs.
